On Wednesday, Feb 22nd I went to see my 2nd musical -- WICKED! I went with Blake, Angela, Sawyer and Sam. Blake and Angela didn't tell the boys until we were headed to the BJCC. They were both excited but to see Sam's face was priceless! It was a fun night and a great musical. I think I might be hooked :)

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

Mom's Family Birthday dinner
On February 12th, we gathered to celebrate mom's birthday with Nana, Uncle Larry, Linda, Richard, Lindsay, Casey, Cameron and Rochelle. We had a Mardi Gras theme complete with gumbo, shrimp and grits. I made a homemade white chocolate cake and icing. YUM! Below are some pictures from our fun day!

Meet Daisy!
On Monday, Feb 6th dad picked up a sweet little dog while he was out serving papers. She escaped from my fence before I got to see her, but she found her way back to me with some help from a neighbor.
She is about 10 weeks old and weighed 14.5 lbs at her 1st vet visit on Thursday, Feb 9th. Her birthday must have been the last week in November, which would have been while we were in Disney!
She is very lovable and SMART. I got to missing her last night and found her chilling in Roscoe's old kennel. She hasn't had an accident since Wednesday. And, I just witnessed the cutest thing. She wouldn't come in the house while Roscoe was still outside. She waited for her big brother to come in before she would come in. Awwwww :)
Roscoe had a bad night on Sunday and Monday morning. So, dad took Roscoe to the vet and he got a cortisone shot. I am happy to report that he is actually running/galloping in his backyard :) :) HAPPY momma!!!!
Below are some pictures of Daisy and Roscoe, plus a video of Roscoe playing in his yard.

Movie Night
A sweet friend from work gave me free tickets to the screening of "The Vow" which is a screenplay written by my favorite author, Nicholas Sparks. John and I met at the theater and headed to dinner at Johnny Rocket's. We both enjoyed a peanut butter milkshake, cheeseburger and shared an order of sweet potato fries. YUM!
We stood in line for the movie for about 30 minutes before they allowed us into the theater. This was the first time that I can remember being in a theater where every seat was taken. The movie was AWESOME!
After the show, John headed back to Gadsden and I headed to Fultondale.
It was a great way to end a busy day at work that started at 7:30. I am blessed!

Mom's B'day and Super Bowl
She always thinks of others
She has loved my dad since 1968
She loves her family
I love it when people say I remind them of her
She is my best friend
She is my mom.
Happy Birthday Connie Crane Bailey!
I love you to Infinity and Beyond!
Feb 5th is mom's birthday! The Thursday prior (2/2) I made it mom's office to deliver her birthday flowers that dad bought on WED. We pulled off a great surprise!
For mom's birthday lunch a few of us gathered at Nana's. It was me, mom, dad, Nana, Uncle Larry and Kathy Fish. On Sunday, Feb 12th, we will have her big family birthday dinner. Uncle Larry made Bama pie which is tater tots, covered with beef, peppers, onions and then topped with cheese. It was yummy! Nana made coleslaw, butter beans, cornbread and white chocolate cake.
We were together, so it was tradition to break out Mexican Train!!!
Mom opened a few gifts. A 2011 National championship watch from dad. A 2011 National championship sweatshirt and a mom frame (complete with our picture) from me. Kathy gave her some beautiful black and diamond earrings.
We watched the commercials and the Super Bowl - the Giants won! Oh, mom and Kathy also won some money!
Happy Birthday mom!!! Thank you for not only being my mom, but also my friend! I LOVE YOU!

Helping Friends move and a Girls Day!
On Friday, January 27, I went to help The Strickland's pack up the U-Haul to move from their home in Kimberly to their home in Hayden. After helping load the kitchen table, bar stools and some other items - it was time to head to Hayden. About 1/2 way through un-loading, Blake injured his arm. He was trying to push a queen size mattress to me and Angela. Being the trooper that he is - he powered through unloading the rest of the truck. Blake called his brother and they determined that the ER would just send him home with pain meds. So, we took the rental truck back to their home in Kimberly and then headed to get dinner.
That Saturday me, mom, Nana and Linda had a girls day. We went shopping, had a great lunch and picked up Dreamcakes for dessert. YUM!
After church on Sunday, I went with The Strickland's to Blake's parents house for lunch and then we headed to Kimberly to pack up the kitchen. We grabbed dinner at O'Charley's after unloading in Hayden.
God brings people into your life that love you for who you are and I am blessed that he gave me The Strickland's!
